Wheat providing more protein than meat in the human diet. It’s making about one-fifth calories consumed by people. More than a third of the global population feeds themselves with wheat. It is known to all that wheat is the worlds most cultivated crop.

Already functional Genomics Scientist Kostya Kanyuka said that Genome sequencing of wheat would hugely and immediately beneficial for wheat breeders accelerating development of new elite varieties.
