All countries are hesitant on the issue of Afghanistan
All countries, including Turkey, Russia, China, and Iran, are hesitant about Afghanistan. Everyone seems to have adopted the `slow down’ policy. Everyone is watching Afghanistan. All the Western powers, including America, Britain, and France, have adopted a tactical policy. Just as they are not recognizing the Taliban government, they are not quarreling. Instead, the US and its Western allies have handed over Afghanistan to the Taliban by withdrawing all foreign troops from Afghanistan - a criticism that is circulating the world.
Turkey remains silent despite historical ties
Turkey has a historic bond with Afghanistan. This bond is not just a reality of religious harmony. Rather, it is considered in the socio-economic context in addition to the cultural history and tradition. Afghanistan is a backward country. But even then, Turkey has a huge contribution to make behind the touch of modernity that it has received. From 1920 to 1960, Turkey provided uninterrupted assistance in modernizing Afghanistan. But even this tested friend has now adopted a policy of monitoring the Taliban's reckless activities.
Russia's strategic position on Afghanistan
Russia cannot remain silent on the Afghan question to maintain its influence in Central Asia. One thing Russia remembers is that the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan through a peace deal with the United States. The world is interested in the direction of Russian-American relations in Afghanistan. Dmitry Zhirnov, Russia's ambassador to Afghanistan, said on August 25 that Russia was interested in investing in Afghanistan after the fall of Kabul. Experts say it's a ploy. It is just an exercise so that the connection is not broken. Russia has not been heard speaking out on Afghanistan since the United States sent troops to the country in 2001. However, after 32 years, Russia's name was added to the Afghan crisis again. However, it is not clear what Russia will do with Afghanistan. No expert has a clear idea of what level the relationship with the Taliban will take.
Afghanistan is important for China
According to observers, the Taliban are not important to China. At any rate, China needs to strengthen and maintain its dominance in Afghanistan. Because China has long been involved in the construction of various important infrastructures in the Central Asian state of Afghanistan. And the departure of rival US superpowers from Afghanistan has opened the door to additional benefits for China. Everyone knows about China's economic and diplomatic capabilities. Afghanistan is a treasure trove of valuable mineral resources. Afghanistan has rare Rare-Arthur stockpiles that use the latest technology, including microchips. It cannot be said that there is no latent desire in China to extract mineral resources from Afghanistan. Moreover, Afghanistan needs China to maintain its geopolitical military dominance.
Afghanistan is also an important part of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to restore the ancient commercial Silk Road. For all these reasons, China will maintain relations with all those who are in power in Afghanistan. In this case, China will also try to prevent Afghanistan from playing a hostile role in the Uighur Muslim issue. But even after so much, China has also taken a more conservative role. At the moment, they are not going to make any new major investments in China. The multi-million dollar aid is just a diplomatic ploy in the name of humanitarian aid.
Afghanistan crisis and Iran
The crisis is in Afghanistan. And Iran has to pay a lot of compensation in this crisis. According to the United Nations, 780,000 Afghan refugees have taken refuge in Iran since the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan. On the other hand, it has been helping the Taliban with weapons and money for the past few years to ensure the safety of the Shia community in Afghanistan. Iran has done this only to protect the Hazera’s, the Shia community. Iran wants to kill two birds with one stone. That is to strengthen the Taliban with weapons and money, to annihilate America as well as to create its sphere of influence. But with the US move from Afghanistan, a different situation has arisen there. And even after all this, Iran reacted angrily when the Taliban attacked the Panshir Valley.
In the current situation, Iran has to reconcile with Afghanistan. On the one hand, carrying the burden of large numbers of refugees on its soil, on the other hand, the root cause of the crisis is the fact that the Taliban - with whom Iran has maintained cordial relations for so long - is now a matter of observation.
